This Privacy Policy explains what information VideoDownload.si (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, why we collect it and what choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain English.
What we collect
Links you paste. When you paste a video link, our server uses it to fetch the video for you. We keep the link for a short time in our logs so we can fix errors and stop abuse, and then it is deleted.
Basic usage data. Like almost every website, our server records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site working, measure traffic and block spam or attacks.
Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. We only use this to reply to you.
What we do not collect
We never ask you to create an account. We never ask for your social media password. We do not keep copies of the videos you download, and we do not build a profile of what you watch.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. Some are needed to make the site work. Others come from analytics tools that help us count visitors, and from advertising partners that show ads which pay for the service. Advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to show ads based on your past visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in your Google Ad Settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Third party services
We may use services such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google AdSense. These companies have their own privacy policies that explain how they handle data.
How long we keep data
Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Contact form messages are kept for as long as we need them to help you, and no longer than 12 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, use our Contact Us page and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
